TOP ROCKER: LEATHERNECKS A "nickname" applied to United States Marines since the Revolutionary War. A reference to the leather neck guard which Marines wore as protection from enemy sabers when Marines served on sailing ships and regularly engaged in boarding of enemy vessels, as well as repelling boarders.
EGA (Eagle, Globe & Anchor): The Emblem of the United States Marine Corps, signifying our service In the Air, on Land and at Sea, earned, along with the Title: MARINE, at the conclusion of "Boot Camp" at Parris Island, South Carolina (or San Diego, California) or in the case of Officers, Commissioning at Quantico. Virginia.
BOTTOM ROCKER: LIVE FREE OR DIE A Motto patterned after the famous words of Patrick Henry during the Revolutionary War ("Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Death"). A Motto which is very compatible with the Spirit and History of MARINES, who have traditionally fought to the death in defense of Freedom. Also, since 1945, the Motto of our home state, credited to General John Stark at the Battle of Bennington.
MC : Motorcycle Club Self-explanatory. We are a Motorcycle Club. NOT a Riding Club. We are selective. Colors are EARNED.
